Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: Bone Health, Endocrine, Gastrointestinal and Nutritional Management
Wednesday, May 29, 2019 | 12-1pm CT
Although patients with rare conditions are primarily cared for by sub-specialists, appropriate knowledge of these care considerations by primary care providers can influence effective care-coordination between primary care and sub-specialty providers, and in turn impact outcomes and quality of life for these patients. This webinar will highlight the updated care considerations and emerging therapies regarding the care and management of individuals with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) as they relate to bone health, endocrine, gastrointestinal and nutritional management. Participants will better be able to identify and address related issues affecting individuals with DMD and the role of primary care providers and these sub-specialty providers in achieving effective care-coordination for patients with DMD. This learning activity is eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Creditâ„¢ and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2. The webinar is free but prior registration is required.
