Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: Diagnosis, Primary Care and Emergency Room Care

Although patients with rare conditions are primarily cared for by sub-specialists, the initial care pediatric patients receive in the medical home help establish early diagnosis that can inform prognosis, service planning, and monitoring for associated developmental and medical conditions. This webinar will highlight the updated care considerations and emerging therapies related to the care and management of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in the medical home and emergency room setting. Faculty will highlight the common issues affecting children with DMD and the role of the medical home and emergency room as valued and effective medical providers to patients with DMD. This learning activity is eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2. The webinar is free but prior registration is required.
